Srinagar, Apr 16 (KNO): As part of the ongoing Fire Service Week being observed from April 14 to 20, a free Oral Health Camp was organized at Fire & Emergency Services Headquarters in Batamaloo, Srinagar, on Wednesday. As per the details obtained by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the camp was held under this year’s theme, “Unite to Ignite, a Fire Safe India,” to pay tribute to fire-fighters, who have laid down their lives in the line of duty. Also, over 100 personnel were screened and educated on dental hygiene and oral care. Doctors at the camp conducted thorough oral check-ups and provided consultations, along with awareness about preventive dental care and hygiene practices. Speaking to KNO, a doctor, who led the medical team, said good oral health is often overlooked, especially in emergency service personnel, who are constantly exposed to stress and challenging environments. “We are glad to support their well-being through this initiative.” Officials from the Fire & Emergency Services appreciated the initiative, highlighting the importance of such health camps in supporting the physical well-being of their personnel. Similarly, the camp began at 11:00 am and witnessed active participation from the staff and officers posted at the headquarters—(KNO)
